The Ujala Scholarship program is a dedicated initiative aimed at fostering education among economically disadvantaged yet talented students. This program has been specially designed to support students who have the potential to excel academically but are hindered by financial constraints. By alleviating these economic barriers, the program aims to provide these students with the opportunity to continue their education and achieve their academic goals.

The primary objective of the Ujala Scholarship Program is to ensure that talented students who face economic difficulties can continue their education without any financial burden. The Program specifically targets students who are orphans or whose parents are unable to support their education due to disability or chronic illness. By providing financial assistance, the program seeks to create an inclusive educational environment where all students have equal opportunities to succeed.

Orphaned and intelligent students

The program is open to students who have lost one or both parents and are currently studying in government schools. These students must demonstrate academic potential and a powerful desire to continue their education.

Students with disabled or chronically ill parents

The program also supports students whose parents are unable to work or support their education due to disability or chronic illness. These students must show academic promise and a need for financial assistance to continue their studies.

The Ujala Scholarship Program provides comprehensive support to students from primary education through to matriculation. This includes not only monthly financial aid but also free educational materials and other necessary resources. The program is designed to support students

Categories of Scholarships

Regular Ujala Scholarship Program

Start of academic year package

At the beginning of each academic year, eligible students receive a complete Ujala kit. This kit includes uniforms, stationery, school bags, and shoes. These items are essential for students to attend school comfortably and confidently.

Monthly Financial Aid

In addition to the start-of-year package, students receive a monthly scholarship of 750 PKR. This amount is intended to cover additional educational expenses such as books, transportation, and other school-related costs.

Distribution and Management

The monthly scholarship amount is transferred to the school teacher, who is responsible for ensuring that the funds are used appropriately for the student's educational needs. This ensures that the students receive the necessary support directly and effectively.

One-Time Ujala Scholarship Program

Initial Support Package

Similar to the regular program, the One-Time Ujala Scholarship Program provides eligible students with a complete Ujala kit at the beginning of the academic year. This includes uniforms, stationery, school bags, and shoes.

Application submission

Students interested in the scholarship program must submit their application through the head of their school. The school head is responsible for collecting and verifying the necessary documentation to support the student's eligibility.

Verification and approval

Once the applications are submitted, the scholarship committee reviews them. The committee verifies the information provided and ensures that the applicants meet the eligibility criteria.

Enrollment in the program

After verification, the selected students are enrolled in the Ujala Scholarship Program. They begin receiving the benefits and support as outlined in the program’s guidelines.
